Celebrations As Cultural Concepts As part of their social development, children learn about themselves, their families, and their community. How and what we teach in this process helps shape the values and beliefs of tomorrow's leaders
Culture is a strong binding factor in the societies and the very individual is rooted to this culture, that influences both the life style and attitude of every person about life. Celebrating different festivals and events at 'Wee kids' help children to become knowledgeable about different cultures and develop tolerance, understanding and respect for different communities.
With the festive season around the corner, we, as educators, take up a responsibility to capture the beauty of the festivals and build experiences that will go a long way towards children learning about religious festivals, special foods, songs and loads of other information...Wee kids celebrated Diwali Function with parents and kids where both participated and enjoyed a lot.
Children enjoyed a Cartoon Movie with Popcorn..and then parents too, joined them dancing with their pals. Some of the glimpses of Diwali party..and movie time for kids. We helped children paint their 'Diyas' and gave Diwali Lamps (Aakash Kandil) as take aways to their Homes.
